Who will benefit most from one of our programs and what is expected of our clients?
I love to work with people who aren't afraid to try something new and are ready to really show up for themselves and take responsibility for having the best life possible! The clients I work with are really wanting a change and willing to take action to get there. It is not necessary to know what to do to get there, just to be willing and desiring to take action toward your goal.
Who is not likely to benefit from the programs?
These programs are not for everyone. I understand this and can make recommendations for other practitioners where I think it might be of benefit. Those with long-standing chronic illnesses will need longer coaching with a different type of program involving different assessments and work. I do work with individuals with chronic illness, but in a different format where I require laboratory testing.
Also, for those who are not ready to really take action and find reasons why they cannot on a regular basis, benefits may be lacking as well from the programs offered.
How can I guarantee success and that I will reach my goals with these programs?
Showing up to appointments on time, taking action, and being ready to show up for yourself in a big way is a great way to guarantee success with these programs!
EFT FAQ's
What are the benefits of EFT?
EFT
is a powerful tool to create long lasting change and healing of many
difficult emotions and experiences. EFT is also very efficient and easy
to use. One
great benefit is that goals that we otherwise seemed unable to achieve
before, somehow get easier to achieve! Another is that addictive habits
and behaviors, and anxiety that we never were able to let go of in the
past starts to clear.
How does EFT work?
Based
on the ancient principles of acupuncture, EFT is a simple tapping
procedure that gently realigns the body's energy system without the
discomfort of needles. Using our fingertips, we
tap on specific meridian points while focused on an experience or
emotion in order to release it and let it go completely. In this
way, EFT incorporates an emotional element to the healing process,
addressing unresolved emotional issues as a likely cause of physical
disease, psychological dysfunction, and personal performance limits.
Negative
emotional experiences disrupt the energy meridians that run through our
body. The physical changes we feel from those disruptions, like
anxiety, become attached to the memory of that experience and affect
the way we see the world until we heal that disruption.
Properly
applied, EFT quickly realigns the energy meridians with respect to
negative memories, disconnects the physical discomfort that we attached
to it, and quite often removes the resulting symptoms.
So what is EFT exactly?
Simply
stated, EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture, except as
mentioned, needles aren't needed, and we apply it to ourselves. The
process is easy to memorize and portable so you can do it anywhere!
Gary Craig,
the founder of EFT tells us that our unresolved negative emotions are
major contributors to most physical pains and diseases. This common
sense approach draws its power from (1) time honored Eastern
discoveries that been around for over 5,000 years, such as acupuncture
and (2) Albert Einstein, who told us back in the 1920's that
everything, including our bodies, is composed of energy just to name
two examples. We have ignored these ideas in Western healing practices
for too long... and this is why EFT works when nothing else does so
often.
What EFT is NOT
EFT
is NOT traditional talk therapy. I cannot stress this enough. Although
we discuss emotions and what is causing us difficulty or upset, the
reason is not to uncover why we are feeling this way necessarily or to cognitively understand it but to simply release it.
This
is really hard to understand for many. This is because EFT is in a new
paradigm for many of us Westerners. Think of it as a way to do self-
acupuncture for your emotions. The release we experience is
permanent often too. In other words, we do not need to keep re-visiting
an issue because we are done with it. How's that for therapy!
Why I use EFT with clients
This
is the new paradigm of healing and personal growth, and I realize it
may not make a lot of sense for some. I have pursued using this
technique, even when it is a bit far out there for some clients for no
other reason than that I find it to be effective and inspiring. I do
not require that anyone "believe in" it to use it, just be open to
learning something new to see if it works for them. There was a time
when people thought acupuncture was a little "out there" too. Now
almost all medical insurance accepts it. This is simply using time
honored meridian systems from acupuncture with a new focus.
What to expect
Just as with nutrition consulting, there is a process to using EFT.
Although it is very fast and effective, best results are achieved over
time, with persistent use, and by learning the technique properly.
